Code Location: akiba
Intro: Thank you for coming. Kitsune was right, my father was not concerned in the slightest to find out that the Hanzamune sword had been taken. That is part of the reason I asked you to come. My father has not been himself for some time now.
I sent you the secret message in the invite because I fear that he might be under Chaos Shogun Kitsune's control somehow. We have no way to track Kitsune so my Father's odd behavior might be the only lead that we have. I need you to do some investigation for me.
Task 1: Dog Days

Items Required: Soldiers Rescued (1)
Rewards: 300 Gold, 230 XP, 175 rep: Yokai
How To:
Go outside and then walk to the right until you see a tower and Enter the tower (Code Location: hachiko). Go to the 4th floor (roof) and kill Dai Tengu to get the required items. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Code Location: battleon
Intro: Greetings, Traveler. On behalf of Princess Miko, I have been sent to inform you that the path to the Yokai Shrines is now accessible. Please make haste; the Princess is awaiting your return.
Go to Yokai Island (Code Location: bamboo).
Code Location: bamboo
Intro: Thank you for coming. The bamboo forest is the home to many Yokai big and small, including adorable Tanuki and the legendary Jinmenju Tree. I hope nothing bad has happened to them, for I cannot imagine a life without our Yokai neighbors. They are the spirit of the Island, after all.
Task 1: Jinmenju Tree
Description: Since my father is under control of the Chaos Shogun... then that means other Yokai have probably fallen under the same spell. This must be stopped! Head north through the bamboo forest to the First Shrine of Jinmenju, the Tree with human-faced fruit, and search for any clues. Return to me if you find anything that may be of importance

Task 2: Yokai Bandits
Description: Without its fruit, the Jinmenju Tree will surely die, throwing the lifecycle of all Yokai off balance, ending in biological disaster. And since my Father is under the control of the Chaos Shogun, it will be up to you to find the Jinmenju Fruit... and the culprit. Go back through the bamboo forest and *interogate* any suspicious Yokai. Return to me when you find the Jinmenju Fruit or any valuable information.

The culprit will be most powerful, and a tough brute to kill at that. I believe Wanyudo-- also known as the SoulTaker-- is the one you are looking for. Be careful when around this fiery fiend.

Rewards: 300 Gold, 250 XP, 300 rep: Yokai
How To:
Go to Jinmenju Tree and Kill the SoulTaker to get the required items. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.

Arigatou gozaimasu! Please let us continue our journey through the shrines and venture into the Tsukumo-Gami Shrine".
Code Location: bamboo
Intro: Hajimemashite. You are currently at the Shrine of the Jinmenju. Would you like to know more about the Yokai local to the area? Please keep our land clean and do not feed the Yokai. Arigatou gozaimasu.
[JIMENJU] The Jinmenju is a seemingly normal tree whose branches are laden with peculiar plump fruit. The fruit-- similar to that of a peach-- contains a fully-functional human face, complete with eyes, nose and mouth.
Apparently this fruit is edible, but I'm not sure who would willingly bite into something that resembles the head of a human...
[TANUKI] Like many of the Yokai, Tanuki are playful pranksters who are fond of shape-shifting and hiding things for their enjoyment. This half Raccoon half Dog is quite famous throughout Akiba and can be found in the expensive Bamboo Forests on the Island.
Keep in mind that the Tanuki motives are more mischievous than malicious!
[SOUL TAKER] The SoulTaker, or Wanyudo, is one of the oldest Yokai known to man, originating over 1,000 years ago. The Wanyudo takes the form of a flaming wagon wheel with an enraged face in place of the hub.
The SoulTaker is incredibly vicious and unforgiving, often destroying urban cities and its residents without remorse. The only way to somewhat protect yourself from his wrath is with an Ofuda, or a paper talisman.
Code Location: junkyard
Intro: I am glad to see you made it this far, Hero. Welcome to the home of Tsukumo-Gami, a place of refuge for elderly, neglected household items. These Yokai are lonely beings, hence why a Shrine was built in their honor to show that we will never forget the Tsukumo-Gami.
Task 1: Dumpster Diving
Description: The Tsukumo-Gami have never caused much trouble-- until now. The Chaos Shogun must have put a spell on these Yokai, making them even more enraged about being tossed out in the first place. Rummage through these lands and pay tribute to the Tsukumo-Gami Shrine. Return to me once you have done so.
Items Required: Tsukumo-Gami Tribute (1)
Rewards: 0 Gold, 0 XP
How To:
Go to Tsukumo-Gami Shrine to get the required items. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Task 2: Reduce, Respawn, Recycle
Description: The best way to show the Tsukumo-Gami that Humans still care is to recycle every one of them! It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it. Go back through the junkyard and collect a few each wild Tsukumo-Gami. After doing so, we can clean them up and resell them for a nominal fee! I'm sure this will make the Tsukumo-Gami feel important once more.
Items Required: Wild Kara-Kasa (5), Wild Bura-Bura (4), Wild Biwa-Bokuboku (3), Wild Koto-Furunushi (2), Wild Bakezouri (1)
Rewards: 500 Gold, 450 XP, 600 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Kill Tsukumo-Gami to get the required items. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Task 3: The Hunt for the Hag
Description: Did you happen to run across Onibaba in your travels? Onibaba is the Mountain Hag who lives in these parts. She is extremely hostile and vicious, even without the Chaos Shogun's influence (which has undoubtedly made her even more crazed). The only way to ensure a safe haven for the Tsukumo-Gami is to defeat the Mountain Hag. Bring me back a Fresh Liver that will let me know of your success... and don't try to remove yours in exchange.
Items Required: Fresh Liver (1)
Rewards: 500 Gold, 500 XP, 800 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Go to Tsukumo-Gami Shrine and Kill Onibaba to get the required items. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Task 4: Big Bad Yokai
Description: Are you up for a challenge, Hero? The only way to ensure a safe haven for the friendly Yokai-- and the entire population of Akiba-- is to hunt down the 3 toughest Yokai on the Island: the DaiTengu, SoulTaker, and Onibaba. Bring back a Talisman from each battle, proving your success, and I shall award you royally. This mission is only suitable for a few select Members. I wish you the best of luck.
Items Required: DaiTengu Talisman (1), Wanyudo Talisman (1), Onibaba Talisman (1)
Rewards: 400 Gold, 300 XP, 1000 Rep: Yokai, Retribution of the Fallen
How To:
Go to Tsukumo-Gami Shrine (Code Location: junkyard) and Kill Onibaba to get the Onibaba Talisman. Go to Jinmenju Tree (Code Location: bamboo) and Kill the SoulTaker to get the Wanyudo Talisman. Then go to Hachiko Tower (Code Location: hachiko) and kill DaiTengu to get the DaiTengu Talisman. After that bring all of the Talisman to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Then Princess Ai No Miko said "The Tsukumo-Gami will be able to live in peace once more. Thank you, Hero! This is great news for Akiba, I only hope we can keep helping other Yokai".
Code Location: junkyard
Intro: Hajimemashite. You are currently at the Shrine of the Tsukumo-Gami. Would you like to know more about the Yokai local to the area? Please keep our land clean and do not feed the Yokai. Arigatou gozaimasu.
[TSUKUMO] The name literally means "Artifacts Spirits". Tsukumo-Gami are household items once owned by humans that have been thrown out or therefore forgotten about.
With too many "tossed out" items to list, the Tsukumo-Gami are loney-- and often angered-- due to them being discarded after serving their masters faithfully for many years.
[MOUNTAIN HAG] Onibaba, also known as the Mountain Hag, is a grotesque old woman who lives on a diet consisting of human livers. She ruhtlessly attacks any traveler who passess her by, since she unintentionally ate her own daughter when lost in the mountains many years ago.
After the attack on her own kin, Onibaba went insane and vowed to eat any human who crossed her path.
Code Location: yokairiver
Intro: I see that not even the SoulTaker nor Onibaba can stop you. With this being said, you should have little trouble with the Yokai near the Funa-yurei Shrine. Thriving with aquatic Kappa, this quaint river is also the nesting ground to the vicious snake woman, Nure Onna. Watch where you tread, Hero.
Task 1: Su-she
Description: Have you ever had sushi, Hero? Well let me tell you-- it's delicious! kappa Maki rolls are my favorite food, and it just so happens that the Yokai here have all the ingredients needed to make some. The only problem is... I don't remember the recipe! Talk to the Kappa and Funa-yurei near the river and see if they will help you out. They might not give the recipe up without a fight, so prepare yourself ahead of time!
Items Required: Nori Recipe (1), Cucumber Recipe (1), Sumeshi Recipe (1)
Rewards: 425 Gold, 300 XP, 600 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Fight Kappa Ninja and Funayurei to get the required items. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Task 2: Kappa Cuisine
Description: Now that we have the recipe, we need to gather the ingredients before perfecting the perfect Kappa Maki roll. Gather the following ingredients from the local Yokai: 6 Dried Nori Leafs, 1 Fresh Cucumber, and 3 Bundles of Sumeshi. Head on over to the Funa-yurei Shrine when you have collected everything. There you can make a Kappa Maki sushi roll! Come back to me when you're finished so we can "sample" your hard work!
Items Required: Kappa Maki Roll (1)
Rewards: 450 Gold, 300 XP
How To:
Fight Kappa Ninja and Funayurei to get the 6 Dried Nori Leafs, 1 Fresh Cucumber and 3 Bundles of Sumeshi. After that go to Funa-Yure Shrine and make Kappa Maki Roll. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Task 3: Hisssssy Fit
Description: Hero, there is a horrible creature that haunts the riverbed-- a threat much worse than the Kappa and Funa-yurei combined. Slithering just beneath the water's surface is a half snake, hal woman known as Nure Onna. She has haunted the delta for centuries, praying on everything which crosses her path. Please, confront the Nure Onna and defeat her so that no one else falls victim to her ruthless motives. Bring me back a patch of the Nure Snake Skin to prove that the river is safe once again.
Items Required: Nure Snake Skin (1)
Rewards: 475 Gold, 300 XP, 650 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Fight Nura Onna to get the required item. Then give the items to Princess Ai No Miko to get your rewards.
Then Princess Ai No Miko said "You've done great so far hero and I'm sure you will be able to overcome whatever perils there are ahead, but I'm afraid this is as far as I'll travel with you. The graveyard ahead is too corrupt for me to step in it, but know that my blessing will be with you."
Code Location: yokairiver
Intro: Hajimemashite. You are currently at the Shrine of the Funa-yurei. Would you like to know more about the Yokai local to the area? Please keep our land clean and do not feed the Yokai. Arigatou gozaimasu.
[KAPPA] As one of the most well-know Yokai, the kappa are turtle-like creatures bst known for challenging travelers to mano a mano wrestling matches. Although Kappa are a lot more quick and limber than some would think, these Yokai can easily be repelled with extreme flatulence.
Give it a shot-- literally!
[FUNA-YUREI] Funa-yurei are lost, lonely spirits who have drowned at sea. Equipped with a shild ladle, the Funa-yurei sneak upon unsuspecting vessels, usually during dusk and dawn, and proceed to waterlog the entire boat.
The only way to stop an attack by these Yokai is to offer them your very own ship ladle with a cut-out bottom. Try as they may, the hollowed ladle will not flood your boat, and these pranksters will eventually leave you be.
[NURE-ONNA] Its name literally meaning "wet woman", Nure Onna lives in the shallows of riverbanks, feasting on line travelers who stumble upon her path. Despite its great length, this half-snake half-woman creature is able to hide just beneath the surface, prepared for an instant attack.
The only defense you have against this Yokai are your legs-- if you see the Nure Onna, run the opposite way!
Code Location: yokairiver
Intro: Oaidekite ureshiidesu. I'm glad to see you, Hero. I am Hashi Hime, guardian of this bridge. I am honored by your commitment to free the Island of Yokai from Chaos Lord Kitsune. Please, listen to my story that will help you on your legendary quest.
[KITSUNE'S STORY] Since the dawn of time, the Island of Yokai has been watched over by a peaceful, fox-like spirit known as Kitsune.
Kitsune was a kind, clever Yokai who was part of the divine protection which guarded Yokai Island from all outsiders, including Chaos.
For centuries, Human and Yokai lived together in peace. Kitsune and the Emperor of the Island worked as partners-- brothers, even-- to thelp ensure a safe haven for all living creatures.
But then one day, the kind Emperor decided to extend the Island's hospitality to the Outsiders of Lore-- foreigners, just like you, Hero.
Kitsune was furious and did not share the same compassion towards the Outsiders. Overcome with anger, Kitsune vowed to do everything in his power to restore Yokai island back to its secluded sanctuary.
And that's when Drakath appeared. Kitsune's mind became clouded with visions of absolute power, morphing the once peaceful spirit into an epitome of Chaose.
Drakath convinced Kitsune that the only way to "restore" Yokai Island would be to release the great, forbidden Yokai, O-dokuro, from the Rift of Time. The sheer power and terror that would come from summoning O-dokuro would make even the Emperor bow to Kitsune once more.
Kitsune became ever stronger with the thought of summoning the great Chaos Beast. The legendary blade of Hanzamune would be the key to releasing O-dokuro from his prison. And Kitsune knew just how to get it.
With his newfound Chaos powers, Kitsune called to the Emperor and placed him under a spell, rendering the kind Emperor helpless and his mind clouded. With the Emperor under his control, Kitsune would be able to take the Hanzamune blade without anyone to stop him.
Princess Miko sensed her father's change, eventhough she was not sure as to what was going on. Fearing the worst, the Princess held the Dragon Koi Tournament in hopes of finding a Hero who could help in this crisis.
And that's where you come in.
You must move quickly, Hero. Now that Kitsune has the Hanzamune Blade, he will be able to release O-dokuro from the Rift of Time. Once summoned, the O-dokuro will bring destruction to the entire Island, and not even Kitsune will be able to stop it.
The fate of Yokai rests in your hands. Gokuun o inorimasu. Good luck, Hero.
Code Location: yokaigrave
Intro: Welcome, welcome traveler. The Island is abuzz with your good deeds and how you wish to stop Chaos Lord Kitsune. I am honored to finally meet your acquitance. My name is Neko Mata, and with my help, you will be one step closer to meeting Kitsune for the final bout. Yes, yes.
Task 1: The Purrrfect Crime
Description: The graveyard was once a peaceful resting ground to the souls lost to the depths of Time. But as you can see, strange undead creatures have flourished near these sacred tombs. I am just a fragile kitty, and I am not strong enough to destroy all of them myself... hence why I am asking you. A new species of Yokai have appeared called Skello Kitty. Investigate these strange creatures by finding out their story... by collecting 10 Skello Kitty Tails.
Items Required: Skello Kitty Tail (10)
Rewards: 500 Gold, 300 XP, 675 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Fight Skello Kitty to get the required items. Then give the items to Neko Mata to get your rewards.
Task 2: The Face Off
Description: A bunch of Ninja and Samurai Nopperabo have invaded these sacred lands. I do not know where they came from, and to be honest, I do not really care, either. They are trespassing nuisances, as far as I am concerned. Hunt the Nopperabo and bring me back 8 of their faceless Faces-- 4 from the Ninja and 4 from the Samurai
Items Required: Ninja Face Mask (4), Samurai Face Mask (4)
Rewards: 525 Gold, 300 XP, 675 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Fight Ninja Nopperabo and Samurai Nopperabo to get the required items. Then give the items to Neko Mata to get your rewards.
After you've complete this 2nd task, kill Neko Mata to get the truth about this cat.
Task 3: Who is the Greatest?
Description: Haha! You really think you can stop Chaos Lord Kitsune? You must be joking. Kitsune is moments away from summoning the great forbidden Yokai, O-dokuro. When he does, there will be no stopping it. No one ever has been able to stop O-dokuro in the past... and no one-- not even Kitsune-- will be able to stop it now. You say you have what it takes... so prove me wrong, if you can. Confront the O-dokuro, and bring me back one of its Bones... if you can survive the fight, that is! Hahahaa!
Items Required: Bone of the O-dokuro (1)
Rewards: 600 Gold, 500 XP, 2000 Rep: Yokai
How To:
Fight O-dokuro (Code Location: odokuro) to get the required items. Then give the items to Neko Mata to get your rewards.
Then Neko Mata said "You've defeated the O-dokuro?! This will only mean... War... Next Week... the Yokai War!"
Code Location: yokaigrave
Intro: Hajimemashite. You are currently at the Shrine of the Neko Mata. Would you like to know more about the Yokai local to the area? Please keep our land clean and do not feed the Yokai. Arigatou gozaimasu.
[SKELLO KITTY] Not much is known about this strange skeletal Yokai. Consisting of a cat skeleton (and not much more), Skello Kitty roams the lands in search of a new master; it's target usually young children. Shrouding itself in a veil of utter cuteness, Skello Kitty grows even stronger the more it is adored.
[NOPPERABO] Although they appear to be just like everyone else, the Nopperabo have one distinctive feature that sets them apart from other Human: a smooth, featureless face. Nopperabo often work in teams, with their main objectives simply being to scare the wits out of everyone who passes by.
The only thing fatal about these Yokai are their impressive card-playing abilities.
[NEKO MATA] With its name literally meaning "forked cat", Neko Mata is best known for breathing new life into the recently deceased. Legend says that when a cat reaches the age of 40, its tail splits in two and the feline gains supernatural powers, often more vicious than virtuous.
Be wary of all cats with split tails, especially if it suddenly begins talking, walking upright, or begins to drink lamp oil.
Code Location: yokaiwar
Intro: Hero, the worst is yet to come. Kitsune has opened the Rift in Time, unleashing the Forbidden Chaos Beast, O-dokuro, from its prison. Not only does O-Dokuro threaten the very existence of the Island, but hundreds of Yokai have flooded out of the Rift, endangering Lore herself! The time has come for war!
[WAR?] The Yokai keep coming... and I am not powerful enough to stop them all. I have held back as many Yokai as I can... but the flood is endless! You must defeat as many Yokai as you can in hopes of reaching O-dokuro before it destroys the entire Island of Yokai. Only then can you face Chaos Lord Kitsune.
In order to get to face Chaos Lord Kitsune, you must destroy all the enemies. Turn in your Yokai Defender Medal and Yokai Mega Defender Medal to increase the battle counter and also to get XP and Gold.
If the battle counter reach 50%, there will be new area unlocked and we'll face new enemies.
After the battle counter reach 100%, you must fight ODokuros Head. If you manage to defeat Odokuros Head, you'll have a chance to fight Kitsune (Code Location: kitsune). Beware, if he shapeshift into another form, he'll invicible to all attacks.
Continue your journey to Darkovia (The 5th Lord Of Chaos) quest.
